PAL stands for Police Athletic-Activities League. PAL is a juvenile crime prevention program that relies heavily upon academics and recreational activities to create and maintain the bond between police officers and kids in our community.

Youth Directors Council
PAL's Youth Directors Council is a sub-group of the organization YDP (Youth Directors Program), based on performing community service. The YDC is designed to teach its members leadership, responsibility, and public speaking, as well as provide educational programs on topics such as drugs, gangs, and peer pressure. Police Explorers Post 597 The objectives of the Palm Bay Police Explorers are to develop good character, citizenship, and a positive attitude toward law enforcement; to train post members in the field of law enforcement; and to provide an additional source of trained manpower to assist the Police Department in the accomplishment of its duties.
